Introducing the Eastman Kodak No.1 Pocket Kodak Junior 120 Roll Self-erecting Camera with its original case from around 1929, a true vintage gem in good condition:

The Eastman Kodak No.1 Pocket Kodak Junior is a remarkable camera that transports us back to the early days of photography. Produced around 1929, this self-erecting camera is a testament to the craftsmanship and innovation of Eastman Kodak, a renowned name in the world of photography.

his No. 1 Pocket Kodak Junior is s self-erecting camera made by Eastman Kodak in the US from 1929 to 1933. This charming folder uses still easily available 120 film.

Around the end of the Twenties one of the improvements to folding cameras was the widespread use of a self erecting mechanism and this model benefitted from this innovation.

The camera uses an Anastigmat lens with a maximum aperture of f/7.7 and a Kodex with four speeds: time, bulb, 1/25, and 1/100. A rotating waist-level viewfinder can be found diagonal from the lens and focusing is achieved via rotating the lens (marked 5 to 100 feet). This Pocket Kodak Junior also features two tripod sockets: one on the front door for portraits and one on other side of the winding key for landscapes.

This camera has a working shutter on all speeds and all apertures are selectable. The black bellows have a couple small pin-holes in torch tests, so a dark cloth will be needed over them if you wish to use the camera for photos to ensure light-leaks don't occur. The camera’s body is in fairly good condition with the leatherette showing most wear on the door front (see photos). The lens is clear with only very minor haze/dust. The camera comes with its original cloth carry case with strap.

Our vintage and preloved items have a history of use, wear, or minor defects that will not impact the joy of owning them. It is common to see tool marks, painting and gilding slips, internal and surface bubbles or spots created during the manufacturing processes used in the past. Manufacturing defects are not considered damage or noted in the description. The history and manufacturing of vintage items create the charm and appeal of exquisite vintage treasures that are not in new pristine condition.

Vintage treasures are described and represented to the best of our knowledge, noting any chips, cracks, or crazing. Photos will form part of the description to assist you in your decision-making process.

All about Me:
I have a high regard for my collection as I pick them out on my own with an eagle eye. Collecting antiques and vintage items has been my passion for most of my life, However there is always a subjective element with antiques and sometimes I may get it wrong, that is why I always try to learn everyday about them.
